I once had a tag on the front of my SUV with one word written on it Overcomer. Recently the tag was somehow broken, and although my car does not carry the word anymore, I still carry that identity with honor.
The title of Overcomer far surpasses any other title I might ever wear. You see, God has worked a great work in my life and I am no longer the man I once was. If I ever have the chance to tell you my story you will hear why I gladly wear that title. I will add this too: I guarantee that if I have a chance to hear your story I will be able to share with you ways that you have or could have overcome too. It's God plan that we would all walk in His blessing.
What if the world made changes in life, not because of some arbitrary day on a calendar like New Years, but because they had a day when something changed them on the inside? What if a day happened in the life of every person when they knew they became an overcomer? Every day that I serve the Rescue Ministry, I want our clients to experience that inside-out kind of change. It is possible. Every man, woman and child can learn about God's great love for them and be transformed! I know because I've experienced it myself/
I know that not everyone comes to us for the deeper things. People come to the Rescue Ministry in crisis moments for the basics of life like food, clothing and shelter and we gladly serve them in love. We are here for them because it's the right thing to do, and because we want so much more for them then what they're experiencing. My prayer for every single client is that they will come for physical blessings and be pleasantly surprised by emotional and spiritual blessings too. Please join me in praying that our clients would be overwhelmed not with the trials of life, but with the goodness of God's love demonstrated through the Ministry.
