There are milestones in life that deserve special attention, and the Western Carolina Rescue Ministries has reached one of those milestones.
It is my pleasure to announce that Micheal Woods has accepted the Board of Directors' unanimous invitation to serve as the Ministrys new President and CEO. Since Micheal agreed to direct the Ministry on an interim basis a few months, I have been able to observe his heart for ministry and his head for business and I am thrilled to have a man with such keen abilities and insights at the helm.
Many of you have come to know Micheal as he has directed the day-to-day operations of the Ministry as our COO these past two and a half years. You have seen a man full of passion who believes in the potential of each of our clients. What you may not know is that years ago Micheal and his family heard Gods call to leave their home and sell their businesses in Johnson City, Tennessee for the express purpose of ministering to this city, focusing first on the least of these. I believe that God must have had this day in mind when he stirred Micheal's heart in our direction.
I have heard from Micheal about his vision for our clients, for the city, and for the Ministry, and I believe great days are ahead of us! Please join me in praying for Micheal as he adjusts to his new role and as he leads the Ministry forward.
