Western Carolina Rescue Ministries greatly values and depends on faithful volunteers to successfully accomplish our services to the poor, addicted and homeless. We have over 570 volunteers serving in various capacities throughout the year, providing over 25,000 hours of support.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities and want to plug you in where you will thrive. Typcial opportunities include working in one of our three Thrift Stores, preparing and/or serving meals, sharing a loving word for chapel, helping with grounds maintenance, serving as a prayer minister, supervising daytime showers, driving for food pickup, helping with evening check-in, preparing and distributing food boxes, making thank you calls to donors, and participating in one of our five annual special events (Foot Care Clinic, Easter Celebration, Coats for the Cold, Thanksgiving Banquet, Christmas Banquet).
Most of our opportunities do not require specific expertise and are designed for anyone with a caring heart to serve. Skill-based opportunities include medical personnel for the Foot Care Clinic and chefs for the banquets. Volunteers typically serve 1-2 hours at a time.
Thank you for your interest in sharing your time and skills to help those in need in our community. Please download and complete the application below, then please contact me to arrange a time for an interview. We look forward to welcoming you!
